Hi, I would like to upload a DWG file with the cores marked and generate an optimized parking layout based on specific stall sizes and design parameters. Could you please let me know how this can be done?

Hi @namih99

For parking layouts in Forma, you have two main options:

Inside buildings: Create a Basic building, select it, choose a floor plan in the right-hand panel, then add "parking" to generate spots within units. You can adjust stall width (2.5m default), length (5m default), angles, and lane widths. Read more here.

Ground-level parking: Use the TestFit extension to draw parking on terrain. It lets you customize stall width, depth, drive aisle width, and other parameters with sliders.
However, Forma doesn't directly import DWG files with marked cores for automatic parking generation. You'd need to recreate your layout using our building tools and parking features. Read more here.

Hi @namih99 With the TestFit extension, you can adjust parameters such as orientation, stall width, depth, and turning radius. However, it is not currently possible to add cores manually. The number of parking spaces is automatically optimized based on your parameter settings.
