Updating a Schedule in Build - Smartsheet integration

I'm hoping to clarify how the Schedule feature in Build is updated. Am I correct that suggestions to the schedule can be made in Build but any actual changes have to be made in an external program?

We are using SmartSheet for our schedule and I'm also wondering if the SmartSheet integration can be used to update either side. Currently, it seems that any changes to the schedule must be made in SmartSheet and then exported as an MS Project XML file and imported as a new version in Build. Just want to verify that we are using this correctly and not missing out on a more automated way to keep the schedule up to date in both programs.

We use smartsheets as well.  We have to export in MS Project and import.  We would love an automated integration from smartsheets to Autodesk and vica versa.

@johnYK5YV

Unfortunately there is no automation and every change to the schedule has to be imported again.

You can suggest a data change, but you can't change that directly on Build. The same for progress update.

So do you have to have microsoft porject program as well as smartsheet to transfer a smartsheet schedule to ACC Build? So you have to subscribe to 2 scheduling programs?

ACC Build needs to build out an integral scheduling program. The whole point of Build is to live in the Autodesk environment exclusively. The need to use other scheduling software and then to re-upload, is disconnected and cumbersome.

That post should be in the Ideas forum.
