Import from BCF’ Option Missing in Model Coordination Issues (ACC)

We are getting started with setting up BIM-coordiantion workflows, since we just started we had the choice to work with only Autodesk products or chose OPEN BIM principles as much as possible, we choose the last option.

Now i wanted to try the workflow where we export a BCF file from Solibri office or Navisworks (should be possible with a add in i think).

See my question below, thank you for reading !

📌 Forum Question – “Import from BCF” Option Missing in Model Coordination (ACC)

Environment: Autodesk Construction Cloud Subscriptions / Modules:

  • Autodesk Docs

  • Autodesk BIM Collaborate (Design Collaboration + Model Coordination)

  • Full Admin rights on both project and account level

  • Models in Coordination Space: IFC + RVT

Issue Description

I am trying to import issues using a BCF file in Autodesk Construction Cloud (Model Coordination).

According to Autodesk’s documentation (https://help.autodesk.com/view/BUILD/ENU/?guid=Issues_BCF_Import) , the option “Import from BCF” should appear under the three‑dot menu in:

Model Coordination → Issues

However, in my project:

  • The three‑dot menu does not appear at all in the Issues tab

  • Therefore, the BCF import option is missing

  • The page only shows: “No issues found in coordination space”

In the 3D viewer I do see a three‑dot menu, but it only contains:

  • Export PDF

  • Export XLSX

What I Have Already Checked

✔ A Coordination Space is active

✔ The correct folder is linked to the Coordination Space

✔ An IFC model is present in that folder

✔ I added an RVT model as well (to ensure clash detection is possible)

✔ I have full admin permissions

✔ Model Coordination module is enabled

✔ I am opening Issues from Model Coordination, not from Docs or Build
✔ Models appear correctly in the Coordination Space

Despite all of this, the BCF import option still does not appear.

My Question to the Community

Has anyone experienced a situation where:

  • A Coordination Space is correctly configured

  • Models (IFC + RVT) are indexed

  • Admin rights are confirmed

  • Model Coordination is active

…but the three‑dot menu and “Import from BCF” option still do not appear in the Model Coordination Issues tab?

Maybe i am in the wrong and is this not an option with ACC Model Coordination (al the names and subscriptions are getting quite confussing )

Are there additional conditions, hidden requirements, or known bugs that could cause this behavior?

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks !!

Hi @benschilders

The permission level required to start the BCF issue import is Manage or higher. Can you check permissons and then see of the option appears on the dropdown?

@handjonathan  thank you for your reply

My permisions in the project setting are as follows (i think you meant this permision levels )
This are the settings for this specific test project.

Tried:
- reasinging all the permisions , did not change anything , only got a new email that i have been
added to the project as an project admin

Maybe you know other stuff we should try ? (we are pretty new to the coordination side
of BIM360/ACC).
