How to load linked model with attachments?

I have a multi storey residential building, each floor is made up of identical apartments.

The architect has modelled the exterior, and then attached a model of the internal layouts copied to each flat position. which makes sense, one change pushes through to all the flat types.

My issues is I'm the MEP guy, When I Consume and then link in the architects main model, I can see the apartments as an attachment to this file, but there is no way for me to load this attachment as the attachment file.

I can load it separately but it doesn't load in the correct place, and I'd have to manually copy it around the model 50 times and reposition each one.

Question is how can I click on the linked file and select "reload from" and path to my consumed folder?

If this is the case and you are not getting a warning that says the instances of the links will not show because they are set to overlay, you should see it.

Please note:

I do not use the consumed folder. That workflow may have specific workflows for nested links. You may be able to open the exterior model and use reload from in that model. You would probably have to do that with every update.

The links are all set to attachments, I can see the linked files when I open the architects model, When I link this model into mine, the links are all unloaded, with no way to reload them, In ACC the links don't load, and there is no option to try to load them.

Have you actually opened the architects model that resides in the consumed folder to verify this or are you stating this by what you've observed in your model?
