Enhance Issue Lifecycle Tracking with a Resolution Section

Currently, we are able to create issues and add attachments within ACC. However, when an issue is resolved and closed, there is often a need to upload closure photos and supporting references as evidence of the corrective action taken.

Having a dedicated Resolution tab or section for each issue would be highly beneficial. This would allow users to:

  • Upload closure/completion photos.
  • Attach supporting documents and references.
  • Add resolution comments and corrective action details.
  • Maintain a complete record of the issue lifecycle from identification to closure.

This feature would improve traceability, provide valuable historical references for similar future issues, and help teams better validate and document issue resolution before closing the issue.

Hi @yuvashree_g7MUUJ

There might already be a workaround for this by using the Asset tool within Forma Build.

In theory, you could create an Asset category called ‘Site Issues’ and then create an asset folder for each designated issue created on the project. From this, you could then create your issues as normal and once completed, reference the issue to the asset folder along with any close-out photos, supporting documentation, resolution comments and corrective actions.

This will act as a central repository for the issue in question and ensure all information related to that issue is stored in one location.

Regards,

You can attach closure photos and reference docs to an issue today; the key is where you attach them and the issue's state. A few ways: 1. Use the issue's References plus the attachments/photos section rather than trying to bundle everything into the description. References let you attach documents and photos and tie them to the issue, and you can add them as part of resolving it. 2. If the issue is already Closed and won't let you edit, move it back to a state that allows edits (reopen or set to In Review), add the closure photos and references, then close it again. Closed is usually locked on purpose, so the add-then-close order matters. 3. From the field, the mobile app is the easiest for closure photos, snap and attach right on the issue as you resolve it. A proper resolution section that requires a closure photo before an issue can close is a workflow convention today rather than a hard system gate, so it's worth building into your issue process, and posting on the ACC Ideas board if you want it tracked as a feature. Are you blocked because a closed issue won't let you attach, or looking to require the closure photo before closing? The first is a state/permission fix; the second is a workflow convention.
