Do linked models also get published? What gets downloaded?

I'm hoping to confirm that when I select publish with links, that the linked models also get published to their latest version. And then when I download the model, the links are also current. 

For example, the architect's model was last published two weeks ago.  When I publish my model, with links, the publish date for architect's model doesn't change on ACC.

So, when I download my model, does it include the architect's model from the date I published, or the one from 2 weeks ago that the architect published?

depends on your linking i think. it is a direct link to architects folder? link through the consumed folder?
