Rhino Inside Revit Forma plugin problem

Hello there, as you can tell by the attached picture, the Forma plugin doesn't seem to be able to work in a Rhino inside Revit environment.
It's too bad but I  know the Rhino inside Revit API plug in is a mess.

Let me know if you want MCneel involved with this one, it might simply because a repository if not found by Rhino through Revit.

All the best

Hi Thomas,

We have a known issue (item 3) and a suggested workaround. Can you try if the suggested workaround suits you?

  • While it is possible to use the Forma plug-in with Rhino.Inside.Revit, there are certain limitations that have to be acknowledged:

    • Inside Revit 2023 and 2024 the Plug-In will work only with Rhino 7.

    • Inside Revit 2025 the Plug-In will work only with Rhino 8.

    • If you have both Rhino 7 and 8 installed, you will be presented with a version selection dialog. You must choose the Rhino 7 option for Inside Revit 2023 and 2024, and the Rhino 8 option for Inside Revit 2025.

Why? This is because both Rhino 8 and Revit 2025 are based on the newer ".Net Core" framework, whereas the older versions are based on the older ".Net Framework" framework. The two frameworks are not directly compatible and inter-mixing versions is not feasible.

Bummer, it's what it is.
This post can at least be used by other people with the same problem.

Thanks
