What you are running into is a limitation of the simulation engine used by Insight. See the section "Elements are too thick or thin" of the Help pages for more information: Energy Simulation Failed . The error indicates that there is a problem with some of the construction elements in your model. They may have a very low thermal mass outside of the limitation of the simulation engine. You may or may not have added these constructions intentionally as they are tied to Revit construction elements and materials. To confirm the cause of the problem, in the Advanced Energy Settings dialog, under Material Thermal Properties, disable Detailed Elements. Then try the energy simulation again. Disabling the Detailed Elements will bypass the constructions specified in your Revit model and use the Insight default constructions. If you wish to add thermal properties, review all of your construction elements and look for any with low thermal mass, such as 1mm plaster. NOTE: The same issue will happen for materials/constructions that are also too thick or have too much mass.
