When configuring the FlexSim licensing service using LMTools, after starting the service, the list of product features activated in Trusted Storage (4) does not appear in the log.

I have followed all the steps in the manual. Why might this be happening?

Hi @diego_avila9KJTJ, one of the suggestions in the FlexSim lmtools installation Troubleshooting section (page 21) states:

SERVER CONFIGURATION - Double check that your server is configured properly. When viewing your FlexSim_License service’s log file you should see items described above in Start the FlexSim_License service. If no features are listed, or port numbers are different than what was expected, please revisit this document from the beginning. Carefully read and execute each step of the instructions to make sure that you have properly configured your license server.

So make sure that each step of the installation process was done as described in the instructions.  Things like making sure the extracted files are not in a file path that contains FlexSim/Flexsim/flexsim (page 5).  Or make sure to open lmtools.exe with the "Run as administrator" option (page 11).  You'll also want to make sure the service has proper permissions (page 12).

Some other things you can check are:

  1. Make sure the correct license information is showing in FlexSim ServerActUtil.
  2. Make sure the files from the downloaded FlexSim_LMTOOLS zipped folder (lmgrd.exe, .lic file, etc.) are in a location that does not have permissions restrictions.  C:/ or the Desktop should be fine, but you may want to doublecheck.

If you still can't figure out the issue, you can try posting the log file, or even the information from the Perform Status Enquiry button in the Server Status tab of lmtools.  If you are not comfortable sharing that information on this forum, and you are a licensed user with an active subscription or maintenance, you can go to your FlexSim Account for information on how to connect with the support team in your area.
