Dynamically Visualize AGV Routes

Dynamically Visualize AGV Routes

Would be pretty neat if you could visualize the route that AGVs will take/have taken for a single travel task. This is wrapped up in a module I've developed, so I can't openly share the code, but would be great if it was part of standard FlexSim.

Great suggestion. also, your great creativity!

In the case of above 20~30 AGVs, how it will be showed? One or two agvs 's showing will be not needed.

It only shows for selected vehicles since if you had 20-30 vehicles all with overlapping paths, it's usefulness disappears. This is mostly helpful for debugging models to understand the routes vehicles will be taking/have taken, especially if you've adjusted the custom path cost of the paths. I am currently working on models where I have a large fleets of manned and autonomous vehicles and I want to debug the routes they are taking since I have over 1000+ AGV paths placed in my model, and their routes can be rather long. Many of those paths I've adjusted the custom path cost depending on congestion I see as I iterate upon the model.
Josh I like this suggestion - new users often ask if we can rewind the simulation to see what happened, which we cannot do, but something like this offers a glimpse into the past which can often be enough to better understand what happened in prior events. One question though - is there any reason your request is only for this navigator?

The AStar navigator has something similar already, and I only had time to develop and incorporate this in the module I made for the company I'm at, so I had a working demonstration. It might be nice for conveyors, but I don't have an informed opinion on that one since I've never done a conveyor system that had as complex routing that my AGV models have had. I don't have an informed opinion on network nodes either since I use the AStar navigator before I use NN.

It would make sense though in any navigator or system that tells an object to go from point A to B to show the path it has traveled and has yet to travel. I'd be hesitant to ask for something that shows the travel of an object through the entire model run because of how messy it would look. I have an AGV heat map I've also developed that handles gathering data over time, so it takes care of that.
