Zone Max Content Depending On Token Label

[ FlexSim 22.2.2 ]

Hi,

Is there a way to limit zone quantity based on token label? I'm trying to create a scenario where the default max content in a zone is 1, but for items that are a specific type (lets say type = 2) then you can have two of them in the zone. I tried doing setting the max content like this in the zone (see attached image) but it doesn't seem to work.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello @Leo L6,

If you go into more properties for the Zone you can add subsets for each type and then add a constraint to each subset.

You can also partition by Type and then put in the partition constraints for each

Thanks for the help! I just tried this and one issue I'm facing is that if I set the partition so that Type 2 is can have two in the zone, the combination of Type 1 + Type 2 also allows for two in the zone. Do you know how to fix this?

@Jeanette F's comment seems incomplete (Forum problems?). What she likely meant, is that you can use the subset calculation to limit the quantity. The zone would allow a certain sum total of a label value to enter, where, depending on the type, the tokens take up different amounts of this "capacity".

This means you will need an extra label on the tokens that determines their "size"/"weight" (how much capacity they take up).

Depending on whether "Enforce Queue Order" is active or not, the tokens would either enter in FIFO order or Type 2 tokens could "overtake" others while they wait that enough capacity becomes available.
