anonymous user, Phil Bobo has answered on a different question. I need a installation variant which doesn’t install the OPC server for the connectivity tool. The OPC hasn’t been included in a msi file.

The .exe package interfered with the OPC server. In that case, I found that the .msi package should be used. If so, I think I should only use .msi.

Msi files are used for automated deployments of software. If you are trying to install it to 5000 existing workstations, then you'll need the msi file.

If you don't know why you would want the msi file, then you probably don't need it. Just use the exe.

Yes, it doesn't install any other dependencies, only FlexSim. If you want the Emulation Module to work, then you need the OPC dependencies. If you don't have those installed and you only install with the msi file, then the Emulation Module won't work. You'll need to also install the OPC dependencies separately.
