What could cause latency with the library panel ?

Hi,

When using FlexSim on a customer's machine, all interactions are smooth except with the library left pane.

Here is an illustration in the gif below:

• 3D view: smooth
• dashboard view: smooth
• properties right panel: smooth
• 3D library left pane: high latency
• Dashboard library left pane: high latency
• Process Flow library left pane: high latency
• Code library left pane: smooth

Would you have a hint why the library left pane has latency when displaying 3D objects, dashboard charts, Process Flow activites but not when it displays the code library ?

Based on your question, my guess is that the performance issue is related to drawing the images in the Library view. The code library doesn't have any images.

Maybe in Windows, GDI+ is hardware accelerated with the GPU, and their environment's implementation is emulated in software really slowly.
