Support Request – Robot Placement and Pallet Routing Issues

Hello Team, Issue 1: Robot Only Places on One Pallet

  • Expected:
Robot should place boxes first on Station 1, then on Station 2 in alternating order. (Green coloured stations)

  • Actual:
Robot only places boxes on Station 1. Boxes are batched and move forward from there only.

Issue 2: Incorrect Pallet Routing

  • Expected:

    • First pallet → Station 7 → Process → skip Station 6 → Station 8 (Green coloured stations)

    • Second pallet → skip Station 7 → Station 6 → Station 8

  • Actual:
Both pallets follow the same route, and routing logic does not work as intended.

Attachment: Model file attached for reference.

Thank you,

Hello @moehlmann_fe

I hope you're doing well.

I have a follow-up question related to the earlier query you helped me with.

Could you please assist me with this one as well?

Looking forward to your guidance.

1) You can add the item loading to the logic that controls the batching at the two Decision Points. Before the tokens enter the Batch activity an item must be loaded onto the respective pallet.

2) Logic to only process every other item is already present in the "Process Condition" field of Station4. You can adjust if the first item is processed or the second by changing the if-condition in the code.

Thanks for the response @moehlmann_fe

The model runs logically as assigned.

Just one issue for Robot box placement

  • Initial cycle: Robot places boxes first at Decision Point 1, then at Decision Point 2.
  • Subsequent cycles: The sequence is reversed — boxes are placed first at Decision Point 2, then at Decision Point 1.

Could you please assist me with this?

That is because the loading happens in the order in which the pallets arrive at their DP. When the pallets are bunched up, DP2 gets its pallet first.

You can add a second batch activity so that the robot does not start to work until both pallets are present. A tiny delay can be used to order the tokens.
