Reference Connected Conveyor

Is it possible to reference the conveyors that one section of conveyor is connected to from within the conveyor class?

For instance, Conveyor1 is connected to Conveyor2. How could I get a reference to Conveyor1 from a photo eye on Conveyor2 without using center connections or a direct reference to the object?

I'm not sure if there is another way using the Conveyor's own logic, but the most common way I've seen, is to make a Center Port connection. Then you can just call the centerObjects reference. For example current.centerObjects[1].
