Pull products from rack

0909090.fsmHello. I tried to pull the product out of the shelf. But when I connect Rack with Queue2, the product will be pulled out immediately. How can I solve this problem?

The rack hasn't got any connection to a queue. If you connect the racks with the queue you keep the items in the rack by:

1. setting up a dwell time in the racks. The items stay in the rack, until the dwell time expires.
2. limiting the capacity of the queue e.g to 1. The items stay in the rack until the queue gets empty and can receive an item again.
3. closing the output of the racks. You open the output. if you need another item from the rack.
4. closing the input of the queue.
5. not sending items from the rack. It is an option in the Send To Port function under the flow tab in the rack properties. You call the command releaseitem( obj item, outport number) to get a defined item from the rack.
6. by the command moveobject if you don't connect the queue.

Can you tell us, when and which item you want to get out of the rack. thanks!

If you connect the Racks to Queue2 and then go into the Properties window of Queue2 and on the Flow tab, check the Pull Strategy check box. That will allow the queue to pull from the Racks. The question you need to answer then is what the Pull Requirement is and if it should pull from Any Port or if that needs to be specified as well.

What i want to pull is white and yellow.

In case of pulling any ports first, if which port is full before pulling the port first .

For some reason, I was not able to get my revision of your model to work in FlexSim 17.1.6. I was able to get the exact same model to work in the current version (19.0.2) without any problems. There must have been some sort of bug in version 17.1.6. And because it does work in the current FlexSim version, I'm not going to try to "fix" the problem in 17.1.6 that has obviously been fixed in the current version. I suggest that you upgrade your version to the current version. To view the attached model, you could download the current trial version so that you can see that it is working. But you really need to upgrade to the current version.
