Pull based on upstream demand

[ FlexSim 23.2.3 ]

Hey, I am a bit new to flexsim and trying to figure out this example model for a bigger project - I have 3 Queues (SC1, SC2, SC3) which will pull item from PDC1 which will pull item from MainQueue. The pull condition variables are mentioned in a global table. Each part has a variable name CAC which is based on normal distribution (mean:225, sd:25). A part that is being pulled must be between specified min and max CAC value as per demand of upstream process. Would be great if somebody can help me code up the pull conditions or show me how can I proceed. Thanks!

This is great. I was working on it and for my other scenario where SC pulls from PDCs can I make PDC receive parts for MainQueue based on reorder point by each PDC and each PDC will receive different quantities? because some PDCs may utilize more than others. Would I need to create another list that way there will be one list for SC and another for PDC?

Also is it possible to send products from mainqueue to PDCs in batches?

Jason has demonstrated a good approach on your new question. Yes, you would either have separate lists for the PDC and SC or you partition one list by the different item origins (MainQueue, PDC1, PDC2, ...)

I see. btw how do I change name of item coming from date-time source? it just says Box1 even after I change Name to SX

Also how do i check avg time it took for an order to be fulfilled for each SC? How many backorder i.e. needed to be fulfilled by Queue5?

This thread is getting pretty long - do you think they could be new questions?

I can understand but I am also done, above mentioned query mostly be my last one. If I hit another roadblock or need something else I will definitely start a new thread.

The name in the DateTime source is the name of the token (since that is what is being created there).

You can set the name of the item after it was created in a Custom Code activity.

The fulfillment time could be measured as the time until the token reaches the sink with a "Composite Staytime" chart.

For the number of items that passed through Queue5, just pin the queue's input statistic to a dashboard.

Hey getting Queue5 data was not a issue but I am unable to get avg time it took from order trigger (source - orders) till reaching to its respective SCs for each of the SCs. I would also like to separate it by
