Problems with conveyors to put entities in non-accumulating and uniformed

[ FlexSim 22.2.2 ]

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with the conveyor belt that is blocked when I want to limit its use to 25 tokens and especially when I leave it in non accumulate mode.

I would like to create a conveyor belt that can transport vrac but that can enter the 25 entities in a uniform way and not in an accumulated way since in the model it sends them all at once and not partially...

I would like to see the 25 entities along way to the conveyor.. any suggest to resolve that?

Thanks in advance,

Javier

It looks like you should specify the spacing that gives you the desired visual effect with virtual length, or remove the virtual length and have the spacing be the size of the object.

Hi Jason,

Thanks you for your advice, it's work perfectly if I use the entry space to put the numbers of entities into the conveyor.

Anyways, do you have any idea to resolve the same problem with a virtual lengh ? because I will work with quite long conveyors and will be difficult for the visual

I think in that case you need to make the gaps larger to maintain the same visuals. Or you could keep the same length and slow the conveyor to represent the extra distance travelled.

Hi @Andrew O

I'm sorry but I can't find the solution with a strap with virtual capacity that doesn't accumulate entities and that have a standard distance between them.

If you can provide me with a simple model that does this I would appreciate it.

Just use the distance as I suggested:
