Pallet combiner Issue

Dear Team,

There is an issue with pallet movement at Combiner 3. The pallets are expected to combine and move forward as a single unit, appearing visually side by side, similar to how they look when batched.

Issue Observed:
When batching is applied, the pallets are still transferred separately, with one pallet moving to each station, rather than as a combined unit.

Please find the attached simulation model for your reference.

Kindly review and advise on how we can achieve the desired combined movement.

Hey @Pooja_inde, according to the Combiner's documentation on the batch setting, "All flow items are released when the batch is collected." That means there is no packing. Notice the behavior in this gif:

Notice how the boxes aren't actually stacked in the pallet. That's because they aren't packed into it. So, the behavior you see is by design.

If you want to get the behavior you're describing, then you'll have to try something else. One thought is to create a custom container in the FlowItem Bin. To start, I made a container called "MyContainer" that has a simple Shape Frame.

Then you can hook up a Source that makes them to the Combiner. Change the Combiner's capacity to 2, and you get what you're wanting.

I had to change the conveyor's entry transfer orientation so that it looks right.

If you don't want the underlying shape to appear, you can simply change it back to the Base Frame so it's invisible. I only added the visual shape factor so it was easier to resize and test.

Attached is the model example. Hope this helps!
