[ FlexSim 21.0.10 ]

Hi!

I would like to create an flow item that is made up of a man and luggage which can later be seperated. The luggage should then flow into a different line where it is combined with something else, and the passenger to another line. Eventually, the combination of luggage and the passenger are combined again and leave the system.

How do I create this flow/flow item/ logic?

I have attached the model..

Thanks in advance

The following model is the more recent one I was experimenting with:

The People module is designed for this type of process - the fixed resorces, less so.

First I added a process flow to detect the bags exiting the Luggage Checkin and that point create a Passenger in the Security Queue while labelling both with a reference to each other ('bag' label on the passenger and 'passenger' label on the bag.

Then in the Flight Combiners I added a pull requirement that always accepts the cargo, but then uses the passenger label to pull the matching passenger.

The model locks because you have than have cross contamination between International and Domestic Flights where the cargo is waiting for a passenger that has been sent to a different flight type.
