[ FlexSim 24.2.2 ]

Hi, I’ve recently been testing lmadmin-x64_n6-11_19_2_0. We followed the documentation, installed the JDK, and configured the environment variables accordingly. However, when running the lmadmin installer, it reaches 100% and then disappears without proceeding to the next screen. What could be causing this issue?

@我才是馬邦德, you are absolutely sure you have a commercial original JDK installed?

Hi @我才是馬邦德 ,

I just tested the following steps, and it worked for me on a fully patched and upgraded Windows 11 Enterprise system:

  1. Install Amazon Corretto JDK 11 (Amazon's index site, direct link to Windows x64 .msi installer).
  2. Install lmadmin 11.19.2.0, downloaded from FlexSim, choosing all the defaults.
    1. I checked the box to install Visual C++ Redistributable.

I may be wrong, but from your final screenshot it looks like the installer doesn't even finish extracting, let alone run. I suggest making sure your Windows installation is fully updated and patched. Reboot before running the Corretto installer. Reboot before running the lmadmin installer. I never had to reboot, but that is something you can test if you continue to run into issues.

And if you're using some other version of Java besides the one I just tested with, I don't know what to suggest, other than go with FlexSim's preferred solution of lmtools, or if you must use lmadmin, try it with Corretto.

Good luck!

I downloaded and switched to Version 8 Update 431, which resolved the issue and allowed me to install lmadmin. The Windows installation is fully updated and patched.I'm not sure what caused the problem. Overall, using lmtools is indeed the best option.

Yes, I followed the instructions on that website to install the JDK.
