libpq.dll: The specified module could not be found

I am wondering if people are having this same problem in FlexSim 2021:

I have been able to connect to our PostgreSQL database just fine in earlier versions of FlexSim, but when I downloaded FlexSim 2021 I got this error when trying to connect:

Connection Failed with Error: libpq.dll: The specified module could not be found. pq.dll: The specified module could not be found.

Is this a bug in the newer version of FlexSim or did I somehow corrupt my dll file?

I suggest you search the internet for “Connection Failed with Error: libpq.dll”.

If you can confirm that is related to “libeay32.dll”,because the openSSL library is loaded by the driver, then please search for this dll here at this answers.site again.

if it worked with FlexSim20, then it has probably something to do with Product Roadmap Announcement.

We figured out the problem. You have to edit environment variables and add C:\Program Files\FlexSim 2021\modules\Emulation\openssl to the system's PATH.

The error is actually a generic error and it is specifically looking for 2 dll files in the openssl file, libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll. After adding the openssl file to the PATH it worked fine. This is an error that is new in FlexSim 2021 that we didn't see previously in FlexSim 2020 and earlier. @Ben Wilson, could this be automatically done on installation of FlexSim 2021?
