Is there any way to increase the capacity of elevators?

We have been asked to help determine the minimum number of elevators to meet a particular demand in the clinic that is being planned. I understand the restrictions identified by Matthew's answer to a question related to Advanced Elevator (HC). The only elevator with a capacity of two people I can remembers seeing was in a small hotel on Bourbon St. in New Orleans. I was unable to contact the person doing the planning but I'm sure the here elevators would hold at least 6 people. Is there any way we could realistically model this?

Thanks, Tee

I'm not sure I see your concern. In the Advanced Elevator (HC) answer you mentioned I explained that the elevator uses its max content (or Floor Space in the Quick Properties) to set the maximum area of the elevator. Elevators, by default, have a floor space of 3.5 m^2 and each person, by default, takes up 0.232 m^2 of that area. Thus, without changing any settings the elevator will carry 15 people at a time at max. You can adjust the Floor Space value in Quick Properties to change the capacity of the elevators.

Expressed as an equation:

Needed Floor Space = 0.232 * Desired Capacity

or

Capacity = Floor Space / 0.232
