Is there any difference in model performance based on the model time units?

I just want to know whether model performance improves when we use minutes as model time units comparing to secs?

Is there any difference or any time unit will take same time to complete the model run time?

Assuming you model the same real system the same way, no.

If you have the same amount of tasks happening in the same amount of time model performance wont change. However, you as the modeler could choose to omit certain steps and increase model performance. For example, if you decide that a certain part of your process isn't important to the output you are looking for then you could represent that as simply as a delay, and that might be easier to do with different units.
