[ FlexSim 20.1.2 ]

When I try to copy a dashboard graph from one dashboard and paste it into another, it appears to look and work fine, until I double-click on it to open its properties... then I get the following errors in the System Console:

This happens each time the graph properties are opened. Is there a way to safely copy or move a dashboard graph from one dashboard to another that doesn't produce these errors? Thanks in advance for your help.

@Jon Abbott,

I'm not able to duplicate this issue. What is the specific dashboard type you are copying?

Hi @Matt, thanks for the reply. It's a histogram... I've attached a simplified sample model below which will help to reproduce the issue. I believe this model was originally created in 18.1 but the issue persists even with 20.1.2. Steps to reproduce are:

  1. Click histogram box in Dashboard2
  2. Press Ctrl-c to copy it to the clipboard
  3. Click in the Dashboard1 gray area
  4. Press Ctrl-v to paste the chart
  5. Double-click the chart in Dashboard1 to open its properties

From there, you should see the error messages in the System Console. The properties window for the copied histogram only shows the Colors and Advanced tabs, whereas the original histogram shows tabs for Options, Settings, Text, Colors, Sorting, and Advanced. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks again for your help.

Sorry can you try and reupload that model? Answers has been having issues with properly handling attachments.

This is a bug. Looks like it's specific to the Histogram chart. I'll add it to the dev list.

Thanks, @Matt! Do you know if other types of graphs are safe to copy from one dashboard to another?

Most of the charts have been tested so you should be able to copy the rest of them. Bar, pie line, gantt, sankey charts, tables.
