[ FlexSim HC 5.0.12 ]

I am looking to model some larger scale processes where I don't care about details of a day. For example, I am looking to model an ideal panel size for a provider.

You can change the model units so that the time units for your model are in days. You can change this on the Model Units window that opens when you start a new model.

If this isn't showing up when you start a new model you can adjust your preferences. Here you can also set your default model untis.

Model units have to be defined when you start a model and can't be changed after the model has been created.

Note: This feature is not available in FlexSim HC.

A quick tip in relation to this - if you have functions/code/expressions in a library that convert/scale units of input parameters, then make sure they're not hard coded to assume seconds, and use the functions for minutes(), hours(), seconds() instead.

The time unit is only an agreement. You can assume any time unit you like. It is similar to CAD-programs. It is convention that 1 length unit is a feet, a centimeter, an Inch or anything else. But you have to stay at this unit and you have to adjust any combination with other entities. Some combinations you adjust like Matthew Shows above in Flexsim.

Hi Kyle, I'm curious what your application is. You mentioned using the software to determine "an ideal panel size for a provider". What does that mean? I'm also wondering whether you're using FlexSim or FlexSim HC, because FlexSim HC doesn't allow units to be changed as shown by Matthew above.
