Ahmed,
On the source object you can change the flowitem class to "Truck". This is a taskexecuter type flowitem that you can use to travel on networks. You can then use a different shape that does not include the trailer if you want to have it pick that up later. If by "container" you mean a shipping container then you can use a shape that has an empty container trailer.

i am using flexsim CT ,, and i wonder if i can load container from a yard to trucks that is generated from a source without using the software GatePlanner ?
No. Use the GatePlanner if you want trucks to arrive to load containers from the Yard.
To my knowledge, gate planner can not be to specify the arrival disribution , interarrival time or set a schedule for arriving trucks
That's the point of using FlexSim CT instead of regular FlexSim for modeling container terminals. The trucks that arrive from the gate are determined based on the containers passing through the port. You can use the Arrival Patterns tab of the GatePlanner in conjunction with the YardPlanner, BerthPlanner, and/or RailPlanner in order to model all the movements of containers through the port.
This is all explained in the manual (Help > CT Help) section FlexSim CT > Getting Started > CT Modeling Paradigm.
So.. Flexsim CT can not simulate the gate operations or a certain arrival schedule to study how this schedule affects the yard effecincy !!
No, FlexSim CT can simulate the gate operations and the arrival schedule. You do it using the GatePlanner, not a Source object.
Dear phil.bobo ... thank you for your replays...i will try exactly what i intend to do and hope to keep in contact
now if i am simulating the gate operations only - i discarded the yard and berth- so, in which distributions Felxsim CT Generates the arrivals of the trucks..
Linking this question to another question regarding where to go for FlexSim CT/FlexTerm support, in case others come here searching for answers.
In short, for FlexSim CT/FlexTerm questions, it is best to contact Moffat & Nichol support directly.
