[ FlexSim 22.1.4 ]

Hi guys,

I'm new in Flexsim. I have a question related to set minimum level queue to close port.

I try to set the range open and close input port. When the item quantity meets max content, the queue will close and delay until fail minimum level (this case is 2 items) the queue open and continue collect item.

I also set close and open port in Trigger but it didn't work.

Pls help me for this case. Thanks in advance!

Once you've closed the input there will be no more entry triggers. You need to put the open input instruction on another event.

Thanks for your answer. I have a concern: How can I set the open input port for another event. You can explain more detail. In my model I also set open input based on item qty equal 2. But my model not understand and didn't close and open follow this logic

Try asking yourself: "When will it reach 2? What other triggers are there?".

@Tiny N, are you able to evaluate an event outside of input closed object to open this input from somewhere else? Because you locked the door, nothing can enter. But it will only open again, when something has entered. This logic will never work. Maybe you evaluate an exit event?
