How to fix the processor's output and input height

[ FlexSim 16.0.1 ]

Hello,

I changed my processor's 3D shape for a .3ds file imported from sketchup. The problem is, when I run the model, my product comes from the conveyor in the correct height but when it arrives on the processor's input it goes down on the Z axis and it looks weird because the product is entering on a solid body part. I realized that the beginning and end of the problem occur as soon as my product enters/leaves the processor's yellow box.

See attached. Thanks.135-capture3.png

You can set the z location of your item when it enters the processor by adding logic to the processor's On Entry trigger.

Double click on the processor and open the triggers tab. Click the green plus next to the OnEntry trigger and then choose Visual > Set Location. Set the x location to xcenter(item) and the y location to ycenter(item) so that the item doesn't change position in the x or y axis. You can now set the z location to a more appropriate value so that items are at the right height.

@Matthew Gillespie Thanks. Can I make just the yellow box smaller without changing any dimensions of my processor? I don't know why when I imported the 3ds file the yellow box is a way bigger than it should be.

You can edit the Shape Factors for the shape. Try hitting the Reset button next to the Shape Factors label.

Otherwise click the edit button to change the offset size of the shape (will change the size of the 3D shape). Play around with changing the overall size of the shape (bounding box and shape) in the Position, Rotation, and Size panel and the offset size in the Edit shape factors button. There's also a help manual section about shape factors in 3D Media > Shape Factors.
