Flow items as buyers?

[ FlexSim 21.2.4 ]

Hi,

I need a little help with the model I created. So far I have built the model from when the product enters the warehouse to when it is placed on the store shelves, but the last part with the customers is bothering me. I have searched the internet and can not find satisfactory information anywhere. It's about customers entering the back of the store and how I connect them to the system so they go to certain shelves, buy products and finally pay and leave the store. I am including the model.

Thank you 🙂

You can drag an maximum of customers in your model and then you tell each of them to collect items of your warehouse. Sometimes all of them are retrieving items and sometimes only some of them are occupied. You acquire customers of a pool of operators. This approach uses operators as customers.

If you want customers to be items, then you create items in the shape of persons. You replace parameter value box by person. An item as person has got the features of an operator. You can tell it, that it execute a tasksequence. You call it to do an activity task in process flow. You can destroy it in a sink. If you want to do this, then please take a look into reference of people module.

https://docs.flexsim.com/en/21.1/Reference/PeopleObjects/ProcessFlowActivities/ActivitySets/

There are activities to create persons.

People module has its history in FlexSim Healthcare but it is now full integrated into FlexSim.
