In the following model, I am trying to simulate the process of storage and discrete picking. I have created two separate Process Flows one for the initial stocking of the warehouse, and another for the discrete picking process, performed by two operators using pallet jacks. We are working with FlexSim version 21.1.4. I am currently facing two issues that I haven’t been able to resolve. First, I populate the warehouse with stock in random locations based on an inventory file. The inventory contains single-SKU pallets, but in some slots I observe that pallets contain more than one item code. Additionally, in some cases, pallets contain more than 16 boxes, which is the maximum allowed quantity per pallet. Second, in the picking process, the operators are supposed to collect items according to the picking list onto the pallet on their pallet jack, and then return that pallet to the orders queue. However, this does not happen. Instead, they just move empty pallets from the empty pallet queue to the orders queue without performing the actual picking task. It seems that SubFlow 2 is not functioning properly. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
