Difficulty in configuration Experimenter (OPTIMIZATION)

Doubt - Experimenter (Scanners).fsmHello,

I'm trying to use the Experimenter (Optimization) to discover the ideal quantity that my AGV should transport per trip and replenish the 4 production lines, so that the lines do not run out of material (scanner) to process, i.e. in idle state.

I'm attaching my model so someone can help me.I configured one parameter (AGV capacity) and 4 performance measures (state of the lines).

You would set two objectives. One to minimize the sum of idle times and one to minimize the capacity. And the parameter should be set to only allow integer values since fractional capacity is not possible and such values wouldn't make a difference.

With that said, the Optimizer is mostly useful if there are too many possible parameter values and combinations that it becomes unfeasible to define and/or run more than a small fraction of them.

In this case, the model runs fast and the parameter space is quite small (you set the capacity to lie between 1 and 40). So you could just as well run the 40 scenarios as a range based job and check what capacity is needed for none of the stations to be idle at any point.
