Hi,

On this page, using Gx Works3 to connect to a PLC, but is it possible to connect using Gx Works2 as well?

It is probably possible if it is compatible with the Mitsubishi MELSEC iQ-R or Q/L series, but since we do not have Gx Works2, we are unable to give a definite answer to our customers.

Could you please give us some advice?

Thank you in advance.

@Luciano Cavallero, @Tancredi Canonico, @Fiorenzo A, can you please take a look at this emulation-related question?

Hi,

As you mentioned, Emulation Module support PLC series Q, series L and iQ-R.
GX Works 3 is used to program series iQ-R (and others)
GX Works2 is used to program series Q and L (and others).

So if are using a PLC of series Q or L you need to use GX Works2 and you can use Emulation Module connect the PLC.

Hope this help.

@Luciano Cavallero ,

The customer was able to confirm the connection with GX Works2.

The PLC used was Q03UDVCPU, but the "PLC Type Name" for the MC connection below was not displayed.

What do you think is the cause?

Hey were you able to figure this out with Flexcon, and if so could you share the resolution here?

@Jason Lightfoot ,

Regarding the issue of the PLC type name not being displayed, it is possible that the PLC used by the customer responded with an empty string. Currently, Flexcon is planning to build an environment and conduct verification, but it will take a little more time to complete the verification.
