Hello I Need Help.

I Am Simulating A Portica Crane Like The Picture Below. For This I Am Using The Crane.

The Portico Crane Has Wheels That Allow Locomotion, To Simulate I Want To Use A Custom Code> Define Location> X Y Z.

But For The Crane, This Function Only Moves The Claw, How Do I Move The Complete Frame?

Hi, if this crane is still running on its wheels in one direction, I suggest you use still the crane from FlexSim and set the static structure invisible. Then you see only the bridge and the trolley. The bridge need some adjustments to get a wheel structure. Please look for the animation editor. There you can modify the visual look of your crane. You find it on the general pane of all crane properties.

Hi @Edmilson Ml! I made a model that moves the entire crane through a task executer. If you replace the default flexsim crane with your custom one, I think it will work as well. Also, it is possible to hide the task executer and the queues used to move the crane following the steps of this other thread

crane-to-vehicle.jpgYou can edit and add surrogate objects of a crane in visuals/animation tool.

  1. open the animation tool window
  2. add objects
  3. move objects to a level where they move with already placed objects

set other structure elements to invisible.

You can exchange the shape of the added objects if you like. I you have a complete shape, add only one object and exchange its shape and set suitable location for it in quick properties panel.
