Backup at elevator in Tutorial 4.3

[ FlexSim 20.2.1 ]

I am trying to complete Task Logic tutorial 4.3 but I can't seem to get the elevator to behave the way it is supposed to in Step 6. After the first AGV takes the elevator up, the elevator stays at the top and does not return to the first floor to transport further AGVs. I must be doing something wrong, but can't figure out what it is. I have checked and rechecked my work. I have even recreated the model again but can't get it to work. Please help!

@anthony.johnson will you take a look at this elevator problem please? It appears something has changed in the software since this tutorial was designed. Just to be sure, I opened his model in the latest version (20.2.2) and deleted the 4 ElevatorRedirectCP control points attached to the elevator and the 4 ElevatorFloorCP control points attached to the elevator and the elevator itself. I then ran the model and verified it was doing what it's supposed to do without an elevator, then I added back in the elevator and 8 control points and connected everything the way the instructions say to. The first AGV that tries to use the elevator is destined for floor 3 and gets on the elevator ok, rises up to the third floor and then pops off and gets positioned at the model origin where it is stuck. The next AGV that heads to the elevator gets stuck at the ElevatorRedirectCP on the first floor.

This is a bug with the AGV Elevator Process Flow. The bug is on the dev list, but hasn't yet been fixed (as of 20.2.2).

You can fix it by modifying the "Wait for Finish State" in the "Create Preempting Task Sequence" activity in the "AGV Redirection" section of the process flow.
