Timewarps between Flame and Lustre

Timewarps between Flame and Lustre

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help with this.

I'm conforming in Flame (2016, Sp1), doing a source grade in Lustre then rendering back to Flame.  My issue is that footage with timewarps in the Flame conform are appearing in Lustre without the timewarp and when rendered back to Flame are incomplete if the timewarp was sped up.

Is there any way to do a source grade?  Or do I have to render in Flame before switching to Lustre and doing a non-source grade on these clips?

Thanks,

Rory

Hi Rory,

I was searching lustre tags on forum and I found this.

It is probably to late for that timewarp, but next time before hitting render go to editing assemble and find timeline sort on the right. Then hit C-mode, Include Heads & Tails and then Sort to expose all frame of clips. that way you can reach all frames for tracking and you can render timeline that way. If you need it back just hit Unsort button.

Have you used render head & tails option on render? not sure but maybe it was also the way. C-mode sort work for sure 🙂

Yuo definitely want to render head/tails. Just make sure that you have consolidated before jumping in to Lustre. You can also do an alt + F9 to expose the handles that are in the timewarp but keeping the timeline in the correct order. Couple of different ways to go to get to the same place.

Just remember, unless it's changed, you always want to render in alt+F8 mode. This is the original timeline without H/T exposed. If you've rendered the other way (alt+F9, etc) you can just render the last clips and your timeline will be back to normal.

yeah, you are right, I'll never stop telling it to conformers on flame/smoke/flassistant to CONSOLIDATE everytime before sending to Lustre!
