strange radius on lathe

When I use a canned cycle (rough or finish), the software genereates multiple blocks to create an inside or outside corner. (see with can cycle.png blocks 100-110 for G02 and 115-125 for G03). However, if I use finish feature with no canned cycle (same curve and feature),  the software generates a program with only 1 block to per radius ( see Without can cycle).

I tried different settings to fix this problem and discovered that if I turn nose radius comp on with canned cycle, output is correct, with radius comp of course. (see with can cycle and TNR comp).

I've posted the program and the post processor. The control is a Fanuc 6T, but it happens on different post for other machines as well.

It doesn't happen on every time. Sometimes I cannot make it happen. It has something to do with radius size and different in diameters.

Is there a way to fix this? I would like to run canned cycles without TNR.

Hi Tom

Try changing the way the arcs are output within the post

Open the post using Xbuild . ... Double click on it

Once Xbuild is open ( Blank white form )

Select CNC-Info >>> General

Choose Multiple Quadrant.

circular_interpolation.png

Click OK and save the .cnc file as a new version

Hope it helps
