Has anyone confirmed if FC will import Solidworks 2021 using ATF?

Please take note that all of this is my own opinion and not an official promise from ADSK.

I would be absolutely shocked if it didn't support SW2021. As for timing, there's always a little bit of a delay between the new SW release and our ability to support the file type. I can't legally speak to specifics (although I don't know them anyway), but it generally doesn't take too long for us to release.

And just to be ultra-clear. I actually don't know specifics on any of this development. I'm just going off of what we've seen publically for many years. Just my $0.02.

Yes, I know the drill... LOL. I go thru this every year. The problem I have is it is never clear when this gets implemented. It is a HUGE PITA for me not to have compatibility, and yes I am aware of the workarounds. This is why I have to be such a nuisance every year.🤷‍:signo_femenino:

Haha, I understand. Sorry for the pain each year.

I'm far from involved in the development, but my understanding is that the delay is due to when SW sends out the required info. I believe they do it at the time of release, and not beforehand - and that's where the delay comes from on our end. Unfortunately, you will never get an official answer on what specific release it will be in each year, due to legal safe-harbor stuff.

All that being said, if you really wanted to dig, you could probably look at when it's released each year and get a good general idea of when it could be released on a new given year. Of course, that's no guarantee, and any number of things could happen to change that one year.

In the meantime, our lives are just going to be more difficult for a few months out of the year, haha. Sorry!

Team,

is there a work around that does not involve asking the customer to save down their stuff?  Maybe another A-desk product?  Anythign or are we just on the wait?!?!?!
