Setting Layers and applying them to future jobs.

Does anyone know of a way to create layers that are saved to featurecam and can be used with every job? For example, every parasolid I bring in has steel, holders, and other fixtures attached to it, Always. Can I create layers for each without having to manually create them everytime I bring in a new parasolid? Other than creating a template of Featurecam is there a way?

Thanks for posting!

This functionality can be achieved by loading a macro and keeping it running in the background. The attached macro will do this job for you. Please load it into FeatureCAM using the add-ins tab, selecting manage and browsing to the macro using the folder icon. It should then appear ticked in the add-ins dialog.

Once you have loaded the macro, try importing a parasolid file, with extension x_t. Three layers will be automatically created called; Steel, Fixtures and Other.
