Hi @Anonymous

Thank you for your contribution in Autodesk Community Forums.

Yes, You can search the Tool Crib by Name.

1. Goto Features/Manufacturing Ribbon

2. Open/Click on Tool Crib.

3. And Start typing the name of the Tool Crib, you will get Tool crib selected of name.

I guess this is what you were looking for.

If my suggestion, answers your query, kindly Accept this post As a Solution.

I should have been more specific.

I would like to search, inside, the tool crib for tooling. Such as, a brand name.

Hi @Anonymous,

Where do you want to search tool by its name? I mean inside FeartureCAM or outside FeatureCAM.

Inside FeatureCAM, you can search it in Tool manager. Make sure you have selected a correct tool group in tool manager. Refer an image below:

Outside FeatureCAM, you will have to export the tool crib in XML or TDB format and search the tool by it's name using cntrl+f

Thank You.

Searching the tool manager may help.

Specifically, I would like to search for tooling by "name", when selecting tooling for cutting.

UPDATE - A change request has been sent in to development that would allow a user to search for tool names in the tool crib while selecting tooling for a feature.
