Reimporting updated model

Hi all,

When I change model in Solidworks or SolidworksEdge, and then reimport it in FeatureCAM, both models stays, old one and new one.

Is this normal behavior or it shouldn't be like this?

I have opened the case and receive answer:

Hello Bojan,

I think this is default behavior for the option
Re-recognition Wizard from AFR.

You can use Re-recognition when you have a new revision of a part you have already used feature recognition on. Use re-recognition to recognize features in a new model and compare the features to an existing model.

You can Select Features & Manufacturing tab > Features panel > AFR > Rerecognize to display the Rerecognition wizard. When rerecognizing features in a new model, ensure you use the same alignment as the original.
The new features are classified into these categories: unchanged features, new features, modified features, deleted features

Hope this is helpful. Please comment if any.

nice I never noticed the re-recognize. I will have to try it. Many of our parts go through changes before they are ready for the customer. or will have revisions over time that this could be very helpful with. Thank You
