Partmaker 2021 Library Access Violation: 41073-1245060

When running a Partmaker full machine simulation, I often get a LibraryAccess Violation: 41073-1245060 crash

sometimes I can get it working by selecting every move option, and then single blocking the simulation for the first tool.

Then it may or may not run to the end.

Any Ideas on how to get past this?

Hello robertbZJLLC

Most simulation errors in PartMaker have to do with the Tool Description creating a bad tool. This may happen immediately or like in your case happen while simulation runs. For instance one of the more common mistakes is on a Turn tool is to set the Width and Shank size the same value. This causes the Shank to end up in front of the cutting insert and can cause simulation to crash.

I can understand how that could be an issue.

I have gone through all my tools, and don't see any issues.

I have found  workaround that solves the crash 95% of the time.

I go into the simulation options and check pause on every move, to single block for a few moves. I can then un-check it and run simulation as I want, without crashing.

Hello robertbZJLLC,

If you can attached your tools file (TDB file) here I will be happy to look and see if I see anything to suggest.

Hello robertbZJLLC,

Sorry for the delay. I looked at every tool in the database and nothing pops out as being something that would cause issues except maybe the precision on some of the tools. Some of the values go out 4 or 5 decimal places. I would suggest rounding them to 3 decimal places max (since your in Metric) and see if that helps any. If your still having issues and if possible to share the entire job file I will also look at it as well.
