Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to Autodesk Community!

You can also use  PMOPT files to generate nc code within FeatureCAM for milling. PMOPT files do not support Turning and Wire EDM.

There is information about it in online help: http://help.autodesk.com/view/FCAM/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-4931F50C-453E-409E-9291-65CA3154ABD6

Hope this helps.

Thank You.

So why do these then show up in the Update window for FC?  Shouldnt only things that would be relevant to us show up?

Hi @Anonymous, @Anonymous

Let say you use both PowerMILL and FeatureCAM. You have a PMILL post (.pmoptz) for a given machine. You can use this post to generate the NC code within FeatureCAM and you need to have Manufacturing Post Processor Utility to be able to make change in it if needed.

Cheers:)

Hi @Anonymous

I want to partly give @jean-francois.landry right, but in my expireance we have a PM-post there work very well for Mazak Variaxis full 5X, If I take this post, put inside FCAM then I got som error, and there are some lines there not be outputted. Same project, and nearly the same toolpath.

So my advice is use it carefully.
