I am trying to create a drill and tap.. I can't get the feature to come out correctly and the right tap tool to work. It is a 4-40 UNC.

Hi @lle,

Thanks for posting on Autodesk Forum.

Are you trying to recognize holes from AFR or IFR or creating a Hole feature from dimension? You can not get a hole feature as a Tapped hole in any case. You will have to change it to tapped hole with 4-40 UNC.

If this is not the answer you are after, is it possible for you to supply a fm file to look at it in detail?

Thank You.

Hi @lle,

Thanks for supplying the fm file.

With last_save tool crib from your fm file, IFeatureCAM is not able to find a correct Tapped tool. But when I switched tool crib to Tools, correct tap tool is selected default.

However, there was still an error because in the hole feature, thread depth and hole depth is same 0.2 Inch. If I decrease the thread depth, the error disappears. Can you please verify?

Thank You.

@abhishek.juvekar Thank you!! It works now, I had to change the depth and the tapped tool showed up without an error message.
