Could you provide more info?
Pictures, descriptions of what exact toolpath you are trying to achieve, and even actual part files would be particularly helpful in resolving your issue ASAP.
Just based on your short description, you might be interested in the helical side finish option within a side feature. This only requires a side feature with a finish pass. The helical side finish option is then found on the Strategy tab, and even allows you to dictate a specific pitch. If you want to 'rough' and then finish with the same helical motion, the easiest method is to copy your feature multiple times, and each time, adjust the finish allowance on the milling tab of the finish operation. So for example, if you wanted to machine a groove with three passes, taking .05 each time, you would want three identical features, each with varying finish allowances of 0.10, 0.05, and 0.0.
That info may or may not be helpful depending on your specific application. If it is not, please provide more info and I'll be happy to help get you sorted.
