How can I change the geometry point display size?   Since I upgraded to 2017 it displays as a really small dot, I can barely see it.  Paul

Just to clarify, Select Wireframe to see the pixel size for points.

It has been set as a default to "2" and will not accept any number, not even another "2".  I have to cancel to escape.  It asks me to enter a number between 0.001 and 10000.             But will not accept any value, just repeats that statement.  Same thing with the Wireframe value.   I'm confused and thanks for your help.

Yes that is correct. When I click on options viewing "wireframe" is my defaulted window. Sorry I should have pointed that out.

I've run into this too. It is asking dimension text size for "mm" i just inserted 20. I had to restart Program for it to take it thoughwireframe.png

It was somewhat connected to mm.   I had some random miniature value in mm in text size and after I put 4mm in there I can now enter any value in point size and it accepts it.  BUT it will not display a dot or point rather.  When I started I had points but super fine almost unseen.   I may be missing something simple right in front of me but it is frustrating.

Give it a greater value. like 20 or 30 pixels I took a snap shot of my settings. See if that helps.

No change using 20 30 or 40 as a value.  And I am also quitting the program completely and restarting also just like someone suggested.

Its a bug I think.  We ran into this.  Turn off or on (not sure what fixed it) use graphics hardware and restart FeatureCam.  It should work then

Hi @ncpapaul,

To fix this problem follow the steps below ensuring the following setting is checked:

•Click on File to bring you to the backstage file menu

•Click on Options

•Click on and expand Display

•Click the Shaded option to bring up the Shaded options menu

•Make sure the Use graphics hardware box is checked. If unchecked, check it and restart FeatureCAM

•Now the point(s) should be visible.

We have reported this to FeatureCAM development team and they are aware of it.

Hope this helps.

My version is AutoDesk FeatureCam 2017 Ultimate. I do not see any of those options under "File" or "Options" . I attached a screen shot of what I see. What am I doing wrong? And thank you greatly. Paul

Hi Dakin,

go to options,Viewing options and in the General tab you will see the point option you are looking for.

See attachment please.

But changing the values there does not make a point appear. No point appears at all, no matter the value.

Paul ,what kind of video card do you have?

i know that some video cards do not play well with CAD/CAM graphics.

All right, lets try this.

open up the Nvidea control panel.

Select adjust image setting.

pick the third option and set it to performance. Select Apply ( See pdf Nvidea1. )

Next select the Set PhysX Config.

Change from auto-select to the Nvidea card. Select Apply. ( See Nvidea2 )
