Hi @Anonymous,

How is the stock to machine the actual part? Can you provide 3d models (stock and part) to assist you better?

Thank You

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for sending the part.

There is no 3d model for stock. So I have used a block stock without any expansion in width, length and height. According to my knowledge, we should keep work offset X and Y at the center of the slot and Z on top of the part for 1st setup as shown in the supplied fm file. You will have to machine that slot though the part which (machined slot)will be used to take work offset on other or back side of part for 2nd setup. Please find the attached fm file with setups created in it and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous,

Strange! I can download the file and open it successfully. Ok, refer the attached images of setups. For 1st setup, Z offset is on top. For 2nd setup after flipping the part, Z offset is on the machine table.

Thank you.
