4th Axis Indexing

4th Axis Indexing

I am Trying to create a post for a Toyoda FH450S horizontal mill. It shows the tombstone (B axis) indexing during simulation, but does not show it in the NC code. I am using Xbuild to create the post and know there are statements to use for indexing, but do not know how to write them? What statement should I write into Xbuild so that it will control the indexing of the B axis? If anyone has a post for this specific machine they would care to share that would be awesome. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Try taking a look at the Haas post processor. It is 4x enabled, and it may give you some insight on what is needed inside of the post to get the functionality working.

Even with a 4th axis enabled PP it does not show me that the B axis (tombstone) is indexing. It does show it indexing during simulation but does not generate code that would actually make it index.

It will not output any B axis moves if this in not turned on.

The Haas 4x PP is setup to index the A-Axis, so you will not see any B-Values in your code if you have that post selected. I just meant that you should look at the PP to see the logic that is needed to index an axis.
