FBX triangles to quads

I’m modelling in 3ds Max 2013 with quad polys but when I send ito maya 2013 shows then FBX exports the mesh in triangles.
How can I fix this problem?

Hello rifaulmen,

Although objects in Max seem to be made up of quads, by default they are actually meshes made up of triangles (the turned edges are hidden). When sending over geometry to Maya or Softimage, your object(s) need to be converted to an Editable Poly beforehand. You can do this by Right-Clicking and choosing Convet to Editable Poly, or, add an Edit Poly modifier.

Regards,
Carlos

I converted my object into an editable poly in 3ds Max before I exported it, and I still had the same problem...

on the fbx export dialog box, disable the "preserve edge orientation" option.

When preserve edge orientation is turned off, you should have your meshes as quads.
