I've been battling with this issue for a while with no luck so your help is much appreciated.
I'm using Maya 2013 x64.
I have a rigged character with the animations baked (frame 1-16), I exported the file many times using different attributes in the export window.
I tried exporting the mesh alone and tried selecting the root joint then the mesh but none of them worked.
The .fbx file has both skeleton and mesh, but no animation playing although if i click on the joints I see keyframes.
The only time that I got animation working in a very weird way this message came up on import:
The following parent and/or ancestor node(s) is/are not part of the BindPose definition.
_grp_splineIKspine01
_grp_extraNodes01
